Have you thought about a profession that solely revolves around exploring new lands, capturing alluring sights, and learning about new cultures? Well, that’s exactly what travel influencers do. Although it sounds luxurious and exciting, it also involves a lot of responsibility and uncomfortable experiences.
James Meeker, a travel influencer and photojournalist has traveled to 43 countries in the past few years. After having a life-changing experience, he decided to change the trajectory of his life and pursue traveling. He left the country to explore new lands. Currently, he is residing in Australia, planning his next travel adventure as the world comes back to the pre-covid days.
He decided to leave his old life in the pursuit of a nomadic lifestyle to promote cultural awareness among the masses. He documents each trip in picture series and posts them on various social media websites, ensuring that each culture is represented in an appropriate manner. After surviving through colonization, calamities, and different suppression over the years, small communities need proper representation to restore their identity.
While in Australia, James traveled to the popular tourist attractions, and he also learned about the lesser known places like, the Bay of Fires, Port Arthur, Undarra, Bitter Spring, and many more.
There are so many amazing things about being a traveler, but it’s not always easy. In order to pursue this, he decided to leave the comforts of his house. He is now residing in different places, unsure of his next destination.
James says, following the same needs a lot of courage, but as you inch towards your destination, it all seems worthy. He has always cherished the moments he has experienced while traveling. Whether talking to a complete stranger with kind eyes or listening to an older man passing down his wisdom, he has enjoyed each of these moments. One important lesson he can share with other travelers is to interact with the locals. You are sure to take home something more precious than a souvenir.
